I want to upgrade my mac mini to at least 1gb ram. Now, I have my older x60 1gb*1 stick (downgraded before selling). Would that fit on the mini, or since it's a desktop I would need a different ram. I heard from someone that it uses the same ram as the macbook pro, which is the same as the thinkpad's.

    Thank you

Yes the mac mini uses DDR2 Sodimm ram (is there a different version? older mac mini with DDR1? I am not 100% sure). Same as a dual core laptop but not same as the older centrino Pentium Ms with DDR (1). I heared that macs are a bit picky about which ram they like. But you can try. If it fits it should work. Dont force it in there the DDR1 and DDR2 have the gap between the pins in a different place.

The mac mini is a core duo and the rams where originally on a macbook. Thanks a lot wave. With your statement, I'm good to go.
