I'm pretty sure this topic falls under Aftermarket Upgrades...

Does anyone have any experience buying a Warranty or Insurance plan from a third party company? Case in point: I missed the cutoff date for buying an extended warranty through Acer for my Aspire laptop and there is nothing they can do for me (Come on Acer! Even Toshiba allows you to extend the warranty at any point! I even offered to pay $100 more).
I've been researching some third party companies, but what I really want to hear is first hand experience; good or bad. So if you've found yourself in a similar position, please weigh in.
