So I really don't want to cough up $155.99 + tax + S&H for a 9-cell battery to give my XPS 16 more than 2.5 hours per charge. Does anyone have recommendations for third-party batteries that aren't cheap knocks that run for a month, then die?

I know to avoid eBay and sketchy Amazon sellers, but beyond that there are plenty of websites offering batteries. Unfortunately, I don't know which ones are fronts for aforementioned sketchy sellers and which are legit.

My usual favorite, LaptopBatteryDepot.com (only company I've seen to offer a 2-year warranty, specified to be "battery will power the computer for 45 minutes with all power saving settings enabled for two years") doesn't stock XPS 16 9-cell batteries.

Don't buy 3rd party batteries. You don't have to buy a brand new battery, see if you can find a slightly used on Ebay and try to contact the seller and see how many cycles it has been through and the charge wear.
