How can i tell if the gpu is upgradable or not besides opening it up and checking to see if its removable my laptop is Toshiba Qosmio X505-Q860
I don't know if that helps but i was kinda hoping it was upgradable. Toshiba Qosmio X505-Q860 Laptop It sadly doesn't say on there either.
Its probably a really easy answer that i'm to blind to see.

The GTS 360m exists as MXM 3.0 Type B card, so it might really be possible to exchange it, but I have no idea whether Toshiba really put an MXM card in there or whether they just soldered it to the mobo, like Asus did with the 560m...
Maybe someone at the Toshiba forum can give you more detailed information. But keep in mind, that even if it's an MXM card, it's possible that it will be difficult to upgrade it, I have no idea what restrictions or customization Toshiba made.
