Are these two processors pretty much the same, performance-wise?
    - Intel Pentium Dual Core T2080
    - Intel Pentium Dual Core T2060

Either one better or worse for general low-end usage like internet, word processing or watching DVDs? Either one run especially hotter or cooler?

    Thanks! :)

    Yep :)

Nope they are gonning to run about the same in every aspect.

The T2080 is slightly faster, slightly more power consumption, but will probably run the same temps for you. I doubt you will notice the speed/power difference since you will not be taxing the computer. Go for the 2080 if they are the same price (<$15 difference) or the 2060 if you can save money.

Thank you - that's good to know. Actually the 2080 machine is cheaper, but I have to add more memory to it. (I listed the specs in the "which laptop do I buy" forum if you want to take a look. ;))

The Pentium Dual Core processors aren't the best processors in the world, but they'll be fine for internet or word processing. Just offset the performance with about 1 GB of RAM; it'll make your system run very smoothly.
