I have a Vostro 1500, that comes with the ALPS touchpad. For some reason the top left corner of the touchpad doesn't register any movement. It's about a 1/2 inch square.

Any clues? Is it just faulty?

Try installing the latest drivers/software for the touchpad. I always go to their website and download. Also check the touchpad configuration settings, some of which may be configured for another function for the area you described.

I just installed the latest drivers. Problem is with Vista-64, the drivers aren't heavily supported...you think it could be a driver problem.

I don't think it would be the driver/software, because I am trying to enable Corner clicks, and all corners work except the top left, and that area isn't disabled anywhere.
