    Toshiba Announce 2.5" 640GB in 2 Platters

    After acquiring Fujitsu HDD Business Unit earlier this year, Toshiba announce their latest line-up in small form factor HDD. MK6465GSX offers 640GB of capacity, claimed to be the industries' largest capacity for a 2.5" HDD in dual disk drives as of September 2, 2009.

    The latest 2.5" HDD series includes 160GB, 250GB, 320GB, 500GB and 640GB, with the specification of SATA 3.0Gb/s, 5400RPM, 8MB, free fall sensor, and the most important 9.5mm of height.

    Hmmm... Sorry didn't see it. I read about the Seagate, but I thought what they have is 640GB external hard drive (CMIIW).

    I post this since the announcement from Toshiba rather new. At least the source can clarify the specs (and it's in English although on Toshiba Japanese site). :D
