    Hello all,

I'm having a issue with my laptop - as it shut off yesterday and registers no power at all. I've taken a multimeter to the power adapter (It is a 4 din, female connection) and I'm getting 19.5 volts (it's rated at 19v) on 2 of the 4 connection holes.

My question, shouldn't all 4 holes register 19 volts? and not just 2? and if only 2 are, would that be the reason why the laptop will not turn on?

    Thanks in advance.

Wouldn't you expect 2 to be Vdd (positive) and 2 to be Vss (negative)?
