    Last week i started searching information for modding InsydeH20 BIOS´s or EFI´s. There is not much information because the insyde BIOS is compared to others new and wasnt hacked often jet.
    What i found out:
    ->EzH20 is a BIOS modding tool for it
    ->Fla utility gives more modding options

    What i have done so far... :
    1. First i had to get the BIOS file. So i downloaded Toshibas newest BIOS update and started it watching the temp folder. Result the utility started directly flashing the new BIOS. And i got no file.
    Second try. I opened the BIOS update .exe with 7zip. Great! The .fd file is in there. Then extracted it. So the last step is already clear: Take the modded BIOS delete the old one in the .exe and place the new one.
    2. Step open BIOS with a HEXEDITOR or EzH20. Here we go lets give it a try with EzH20. OhhhhNOOOOO the programm cant find fv information in FD file. Sh*t. Ok hexeditor. no signs of vcore and so on.

    What are my goals:
    -> Unlocking hidden options.
    ->Rising GPU Vcore to get to HD5730M level.
    ->Find Temperaure table and set cooling that way that fan starts in balanced mode at 55C not 50C.
    ->FSB/QPI link configuration??
    ->Set solid Multiplikator wich my i3 380M @ 2.53Ghz supports.

    What i know about InsydeH20 moddings:
    I read in this forum that a Sony vaio notebook bios has been hacked and a advanced raid interface could be unlocked with enabling those options.

    Ok. Here we are again. HD5650M to HD5730M modding was successful with the help of seeker_moc who showed me how to mod a Radeon BIOS with RBE and how to pack the BIOS again ( but i undervolted my GPU to run the NB cooler and quiter).
    After some time i recently saw that video. The guy says modding would be possible with a hexeditor o_o. So i started again:
    1. Unpack the .exe and get the BIOS
    2. Run PhoenixBIOSSlicTool
    3. Try to modify the BIOS with a hexeditor

    I opened some modules and saw sencefull words like Acmel and keyboard ``drivers´´??!?!

    The goal is to find modules wich are not activated and to activate them but i dont know how to figure out hidden modules and unlocked ones.

    wow thats really good progress.

    Its really good to read up about it, I have been looking into it but I really havent the knowledge needed.

    I have a toshiba with InsydeH2O bios and I am certain there is a lot of functions available. The GL960 chipset has a lot of functions removed from a PM965 to become a GL960.

    Be interesting to see whats inside my older designed bios?

    Second success! Modded BIOS like this way and checked it with a pre-modded one. It made the same changes and works!!!! + using some mydigitallife BIOS mod tools.
    Unfortuantely it didnt unlock OC options :confused: . Maybe the chipset doesnt support them??
    However. There was already a modded BIOS but i couldnt download it ( had to use PROXY) until yesterday and it just cool to see so many new options :D .
