    Hi all,

I plan to change my Toshiba Satellite battery for the first time.

Original battery pack model is PA3356U 1BAS,proposed
DC volt & mAmpere on market is different to this model, this is where i'm confused.

My battery votage & mAh is DC 10.8V 4400mAh.

Should i select exactly same DC volt & mAh ? can i go for 8800 mAh ?

    Advance Thanks,
    Zorex

You should be able to use a higher capacity battery. But, going from a 4400mAh battery to a 8800mAh battery probably means that it will have more cells. A 10.8V battery means three cells in series. Increasing the capacity is done by putting sets of cells in parallel.

Looking at it at http://au.battery-locator.com/advan...ords=BLTA435&gclid=CK74hfCnlJcCFSJIagodM3oiJA, my guess is they are 6 and 12 cell batteries. The 8800 mAh battery weighs twice as much and is physically much bigger so it will stick out somewhere. If that is OK with you and the battery is listed as compatible with your laptop, then it should be fine.

    David,

Yes, you are 100% correct !
I have over looked physical size.

    Thanks for your help.
