This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved.     Does anyone know if the Toshiba MK5055GSX hard drive is compatible with HP ProtectSmart?

    I was thinking about getting one of these drives for my notebook, but I can't find anything definite on if the HP ProtectSmart utility will support it.

    I was hoping someone out there has one of these drives in their HP and could verify this for me. :)
