    Hi!
    Ive bought a WD6400BEVT but the its driving me crazy. Its really loud even when idle.. sounds like my mbp fan is spinning at hi speed.
    Which one would you choose ?

    Toshiba is slightly faster, Samsung uses slightly less power. Toms Hardware Drive Comparison

    Samsung has a very good reputation for making quiet drives.

    I agree, the Samsung is whisper quite, even during the HD test, you could barely hear it. I used an external esata dock, thus the disk is exposed, yet still quite.

    Nice Hard Disk, I think I will throw it in to a netbook and see what happens.
