Just wondering is anyone knows if it's possible to upgrade the video card on a P100 Toshiba , It currently has a Nvidea 7300 128 Mb. Would like to go 256 at least ...I know it has a discrete video card just wondering if it's possible...thx

Unfortuantely no, the Toshiba P100 does not have a user changeable graphics card. Your 7300 is an integrated IGP, which is directly soldered to the mainboard on your laptop.
The P105, has a proprietary changeable graphics card, but the P100 does not.
Sorry man,
95% of the laptops on the market do not have upgradeable video card options.

But isn't integrated the opposite of Discrete which means it's not soldered in right?... I looked at the specs online and it deos say its discrete
-
Some sites are telling me that it uses integrated, and some say that it has a discrete graphics card.
From what I can determine is that the 7300Go is on a proprietary socket.
The P100 also had the option of the go 7900 GS, which is also on a proprietary socket.
Whether you can buy and upgrade is beyond me.
A different motherboard may be used for the 7900Gs, than the 7300.
Let me look into it a bit more, and I will get back to you

I tought the P105 wasn't upgradeable because it had an integrated card ...can any confirm this

thx K-TRON ...I tried looking all over..maybe youll have better luck

The P100-19x (x can be 1-9) series is the P100 version which supports the 7900GS,
The Satellite P100-ST9752, Satellite P100-ST9762 and Satellite P100-ST9772 all have support for the 7900GTX.
The P100 has the nvidia go7300
The P100 with the 128MB NVIDIA GeForce Go 7300 graphics card will easily handle all business applications and will even handle many of the older games... but please note you may need to upgrade to a ‘gamer-centric’ model, such as the Toshiba Satellite P105-S921 with NVIDIA GeForce Go 7900 GS for playing all the latest games.
Toshiba has created many different revisions of the P100, all of which support different graphics cards and components.
You have a standard P100, so you cannot upgrade your graphics card.
You may have had the option for a different video card when customizing, but that is because if you wanted a faster graphics card, a slightly different motherboard was used.
There are dozens of revisions to the P100, all different so that there is a revision for everyone. Unfortunately this process makes it impossible to upgrade, because each revision uses a different motherboard, which thus supports a different video card.
Is that an OSHKOSH military truck in your avatar?
I have always wanted to drive an MTVR or HEMTT.

Its a lite service utility truck and it's made by International...not a really good truck lol..but thanks man ..anything you think i can do to make it better ...even tho i play half life 2 with full graphics now since i upgraded my RAM
thx -
The only thing you can try and do is get better graphics drivers.
You can go to laptopvideo2go, and download the latest drivers for your graphics card.
http://www.laptopvideo2go.com/drivers
You can install a copy of Riva Tuner, so you can change more settings and optimize your graphics card for the games you play.

Thanks man really apreciate it Ill try that ...you think overclocking gpu might work
-
You can overclock your graphics card with riva tuner, but I do not recommend overclocking it a lot.
I would say 10% max overclock on your graphics card.
Ex:
If the core clock is 250Mhz, go to 275Mhz
If the memory clock is 300Mhz, go to 330Mhz.
Do not force an overclock greater than 15%, or you are going to have higher temperatures, and generate a much greater risk of damage.
With RivaTuner, you can monitor your temps. You can set the program to show fps, clock speed, and temperature in the top left corner of your screen when playing games.
You do not want temperatures over 80C
Here is a good link: (It tells you how to install and configure riva tuner)
