I've got a Toshiba P505-S8020 that accepts an optional Nvidia GT-330M video card (It's sister, the Qosmio X505 accepts the 360m card). I'm interested to know if the connector is MXM and of what class and size, also if the notebook is SLI, 2 discrete cards, capable?
Intel HD video/i3 integrated for now.

moral hazard Notebook Nobel Laureate
I don't know for sure, but toshiba usually uses its own proprietary connector like this:
Taking apart Toshiba Satellite P305 notebook. Removing video card, cooling fan and CPU.
If it came with an integrated GPU, even the proprietary slot might not be on the motherboard.
You might have to take the notebook apart and check for yourself. -
The Clevo x8100 is MXM3.0b and since it shares the same chassis as this Toshiba, that's the best leading info I can find.
I won't open the case on mine until I'm pretty sure that there are no pressing warranty issues I have to settle first. -

Clevo is a platform maker of generic laptop designs that are spec'd to other OEM's for delivery.
Clevo, in that sense, has everything 'to do with' Toshiba's P505. -
Clevo sells their designs to only some vendors, and definitely not Toshiba. Furthermore, the laptop that OP has most likely uses a proprietary connector, if it is the model that comes with the discrete graphics. Even furthermore, OP's model is one that comes with integrated graphics, so it's even less likely it's interchangeable. The laptop most likely won't have the correct heatsink assembly, etc.
Not going to happen. Sorry OP, but Toshiba uses proprietary connectors on their laptops. My A300 has a pretty dodgy set up itself. Your only chance is that if your laptop has a discrete connector. And to verify that, you will need to take the notebook apart, or find a disassembly for your EXACT model. -

Okay first off they're not based off any Clevo models. The M980nu is based off an entirely a different chipset/chasis is NOT alike. The X8100 does not look like the Toshiba P505-S8020.
Two HP/Dell/Gateway/Toshiba/Sony all have the money/resources to run prototype laptops, which they do, -gasp- -shock- -awe-.
They don't run to Clevo, for chassis that will push their already failing profit margins any lower. They run to some factory in China to mass produce THEIR design. Then utilize pre existing manufacturers of LCD's/Motherboards/etc to design their notebooks.
Two many times the parts are then altered by the OEM, for example my Video card (Mobility HD 2600) never shipped with 512mb's, it shipped with 256mb's. Meaning Gateway altered the design/added 512mb's, and had it manufactured to specs.
I am not saying manufacturers don't use the Clevo design, but in this case they don't.
I can almost assure you with the technical specifications I just ready your laptop doesn't have MXM.
Other then that your going to have to open that laptop up and find out for your self.
@OP I read your post on Toshiba forums. I will ask Clevo for pictures of their chassis and compare it to the ones posted here:

Furthermore here's more pictures/comparisons of the two chassis:
This picture is of the X8100 AND M980nu
Here's a picture of the Toshiba P505:
Notice the differences in:
Hinges
Speakers
Different track pad
Different location of the power/battery/hard drive indicators
Toshiba P505 back:
X8100 back:
Notice differences in:
Hinges
Ventillation
The chassis difference in going from thinner to thicker on the X8100 (notice the angled keyboard), on Toshiba it is an even thickness all around, period.
