    Hi there,

    Summary:
The original screen of this laptop is a Samsung glossy screen with the following reference LTN154X3-L06. The screen has been smashed and replaced with a matt LG-Philips screen with the following reference LP154W01. The replacement screen is from a working Dell laptop.

    Problem:
The new screen (LG-Philips) is too dim in comparison with the Samsung one. I asked few LCD suppliers and been told that the original inverter that comes with the toshiba should work fine with the matt LG-Philips screen.

    Note:
Both the new screen and the Toshiba inverter have been tested on another laptop and worked fine. The inverter was tested on my acer laptop and the screen on the dell laptop where it came from.

I notice that the display cable on the Toshiba has less connection points that the one on the dell laptop; both cables have 30 pins but the Toshiba one has about 15-20 connetion points while the Dell on has 30 connection points.

    Situation:
I have been loking for a solution for a month now.
I would appreciate any help I can get.

    Thanks
