I posted this in the TOshiba Forum but never really got an answer I have already ordered more RAM, but depending on how much of an improvement I see from that, I may also upgrade the processor... What information is available about the T5250, is it Santa Rosa, and what is the listed "socket" of the processor so I can find something compatable...

BTW, it is a Toshiba Satellite a205=s7464

    The C2D T5250 is Socket P.

You can use T7300, T7500, T7700 etc. Before even considering upgrading the processor, I would make sure your "max" out your ram(4GB) and HDD(7200rpm) since you will likely notice the difference with more ram/faster hdd then a faster CPU.

Also upgrading the CPU will probably Void your warranty so...

final question, I swear! The listed Hard Drive's interface is "ata-7" which is, according to newegg and toshiba a sata 150 connection, right? also, I couldn't see it when I popped open the laptop earlier but toshiba says you can have 2 HDs on the sattelite a205s.... is my model capable of 2 HDs? this is affecting my HD ordering decision...

Your model takes SATA HDD like most modern notebooks.

The product spec PDF for the 7464 doesent mention dual hdd so...
