    Hey guys;
    I'd like to do some upgrades on my Toshiba to make it run faster and such. What do you guys recommend? where can I find stuff? What can I do to it?

    Also, is it possible to add things from the other versions of the s169 like the blue lights, harmon kardon speakers, card reader... etc...

    Thx!

    Buy 2GBs of pc2700 memory and any size 7200rpm PATA (IDE) hard drive.

    You can try newegg.com, or frys.com, or zipzoomfly.com

    You can add other stuff to it like you mentioned, but you have to be extremely skilled in computers and be able to take them apart and solder stuff. I wouldn't try it given you very very very limited knowledge of even basic computer hardware.

    Stick a Pentium M in it.

    Look at the Hot Ram Deals thread for great prices on DDR ram.

    First max out your ram and add a faster rpm hard drive as adinu suggested before even considering a CPU upgrade.

    Because that's what will fit in your computer. Nothing else. (well technically you can get away with pc3200 and 2100, but that's another story). Thus you should get that.

    Yes there's a limit, that's why I told you to get 2GB, because that's the max.

    Yes you have to get specific things, because others wont fit.

    And if you want a tutorial, search, search and search some more. There's plenty of threads about this.
