Hey, I'm finally back, most won't remember me but I was on here daily til I finally purchased a laptop due to most of the really helpful people on these forums. It has been a year since then and I've hit a brick wall and could use some help.

My laptop's touchpad no longer works, not a huge deal since I use a wireless mouse but it is getting a bit annyoing when I don't want to use the wireless mouse or when I'm in my car. When I try to go to my "mouse" settings an error pops up reading "Unable to connect to the Synaptics Pointing Device Driver", it asks me if I want to uninstall it but when I click no it says " Rundll32 has stopped working".

My D button my laptop's keyboard also is getting stuck due to my gaming habits and my Gateway warranty is up, if I take it to Best Buy (I have a 2 year warranty with them) will they be able to replace it for me?

OH YEAH! Also my laptop's built in mic doesn't work, when I try to use it on Skype, etc. it makes a loud hissing noise. I have no idea why it is doing this since I've never damaged this laptop?

Those are the only issues I've had so far, I've done a clean Vista 64 install once but other then that this Gateway M-6864FX has been nothing but gold for me. Thanks again!

(I might have put this in the wrong forums...)
