Hey,
I own a Sony Vaio VGN-FZ21Z and had Vista Home Premium, I just pruchased Ultimate and did a fresh install, and so when it was completed I downloaded the Vaio drivers again and began to install them. But when I got to the Pointing Driver (Alps) 7.0A - 7.0.501.8 driver, It would not install, It says that the "DLL could not be opened".
I know that this driver is what enables me to scroll using my touchpad, but it simply wont install.
Do you guys know how to fix this or is there any other ways to get scrolling on the touchpad to work besides this driver.

I have downloaded files and would not work, then downloaded again from the exact same location and they worked. Give it a shot, nothing to lose, also is there a different location you can download from?

Ye I tried downloading alp software drivers from other sites, the whole 1 I managed to download out of them said that it was not compatible with the version of Windows i was running on and then gave me the same could not open DLL error.

Edit: I just got it working through trial and error
Thanks for replying to this anyway
