With the imminent official announcement of Windows 8, most manufacturers are announcing touchscreen models of existing laptops, new hybrid models and Windows Pro tablets that are supposed to act as laptops. What do you guys think about those new devices? Are you interested in buying one? Could they replace your "proper" laptop?
I am personally not interested at all (actually more worried that they will slowly push out the standard laptops and there will be less options for people like me who cannot rely on touch for work). For my personal usage, a laptop + tablet makes a lot more sense than just a hybrid/touchscreen laptop. I was wondering what everyone else on this forum thinks about this...

IMO, those ASUS Transformer notebook/tablets are good for officework and some leisure, but start putting high-end parts on laptop/tablet hybrids and it begins to blur the market a whole lot more. I can't imagine a market for a quad-core tablet with a detachable screen like the transformer.
Then again, if it's anything like the HP Touchsmart series, I think it'll be more marketable.
Touchscreen laptops and hybrids?
