Hi everyone,
I have an old Toughbook CF-19 which I use for maps etc in my vehicle. It's running Windows 7 32bit currently, and its fitted with a 3G card which is labelled 2723A-UNDP1 on the actual unit. In Windows it presents as Qualcomm HS-USB QDLoader 250C (or at least I think that's the same device?).
It seems to have the latest driver installed, and I've installed all of the Panasonic drivers I can find. I have put an activated UK SIM card into it.
My question, is what next? How do I actually make a connection..?
I've found lots of forum threads about loading the Panasonic carrier drivers etc, but everything I've found so far is US centric. How do I use this in the UK? The card seems to be fine for UK use, but I don't know what I need to do to connect it. Feels like I need an app to do that.
Any hints gratefully received! Let me know if I've missed any info. Thanks everyone
N

You might need a dialer software that connects to the internet.
My old HP Elitebook had same card in HP branding and it used HP Connection Manager to turn radios on/off and open internet connection.
Now Windows itself can do the same thing with modern modems but I'm not sure if it can handle something that old... (10 years already). -
ThinkPads also use ThinkVantage Radios software to enable 3G.

I actually was wrong before. The old HP computer I was referring to actually used connection manager from Fujitsu, because the Gobi card was salvaged from old Fujitsu laptop...
The HP connection manager I used was in one of my newer laptops much later... Lesson: different brand card might work but it might need different software. Just in case someone stumbles upon this thread years later.
