I'm curious if there is any real difference between standard Transcend RAM modules and Transcend "JetRam" RAM modules.

Newegg lists the later for around $12 cheaper, but if their is a difference in quality to justify the added cost, I'd go with the non-JetRam module.

    Anyone know?

Not sure...but I've heard better reviews from the Samsung based variants. It used to tell you on newegg's site which one was the samsung version.

I decided to go with the proprietary Transcend instead of the Jetram.

To save a buck, Jetram uses generic DRAM chips Transcend purchases from multiple vendors. This is necessary to keep up with demand as their proprietary line is maxed out to 100% capacity and can't be produced quickly enough.

I'd rather pay an extra $10 for actual Transcend RAM instead of generic stuff.
