    I'm in Canada right now and I'm going to be travelling to India tomorrow and taking my laptop with me. My question is, will I need a transformer for my AC adapter?

    Here's what it says on the 'box' on my power supply:
    INPUT: 100-240V~1.5A 50-60Hz (this is the only line confusing me - does this mean that I can plug it directly into a 240V socket without a transformer?)
    OUTPUT: 19V===4.74A

    Thanks.

    Yes its dual voltage. You will just need the adapter so it fits on the socket over there (if its different)
