Hello. I just tripped over the power cord of my g1s and caused it to disconnect. Would this have any damage on the hardware?? I was using firefox, msn, and wmp for a video at that moment. :( I'm so scared.

So what your saying is that the plug disconnected from the wall and your laptop turned off? No I don't see anyway you could've damaged anything except if you were doing something and forgot to save it.

If the power cord disconnected from the lappy (instead of the wall), then maybe. If you can connect it and it charges, then no, no damage. If you can't connect it or charge, then it's been damaged.

To be more exact, it was the power cord that connects the wall to the adapter and it disconnected on the adapter side.

Oh. Then all's good. That's like disconnecting manually.

Thanks for the info. I feel much better, was worried about damaging my computer. :)

EDIT: I have heard of that feature on the Macbook, but that won't help much as the battery wasn't in the laptop at the moment. Also I believe Macbook's power cord only protects the person from not tripping over instead of the laptop. :)

Since this was the other side that was pulled, it wouldn't really make a difference.
