Anyone have any experience with these. I like the fact that they don't rely on my laptop's onboard sound, and they'll be good for gaming on my desktop so I don't keep everyone up. Only thing holding me back is a few sub-par reviews on newegg, but for 62.99 after rebate I don't really think you can go wrong. Feel free to suggest other headsets, but I am really looking for 5.1 with a usb connection.

there are pretty much no good 5.1 headphones out there, even the expensive ones are sub par compaired to a good pair of 2 speaker headphones.
why do you want 5.1????
it may not seem true but it is that you actually get beter localization from a pair of 2 speaker headphones than you do from surround ones.
This has been stated by just about every person that owns both a pair of high end 5.1 headphones and a good pair of 2 speaker headphones.
Trust me with my Audio Technica A700's and a creative xfi with 3dcmss on I can tell if your behind me, beside me, above me , below me ect..
If its for music... no music is encoded into 5.1 really. If its for games 2.0 is better and even before your headphones become important you need to be driving them from a good soundcard.
Trust me that 63$ is going to get you a cheap product. that would be the same as 20$ for a pair of 2 speaker headphones since it has 6 speakers instead of 2 and you have to divide quality by quanitity. Then add in the fact they are usb wich means they use there own soundcard... whens the last time you heard of a quality soundcard for 20$??
Stay away from them, thats my personal advise.
If you must get them for some odd reason the medusas are the best ones I know of. -
Hope this helps
