    Hi all,

I've been trying to find a Canadian web site that has the Seagate Momentus 7200.3 160GB, but I haven't been able to. Does anybody know a good place to search?

(I want the 7200.3 since it is single-platter, whereas the 7200.2 version is dual-platter)

    Thanks,

    Faruk

Why not look into the 250GB 7200.3 or the 160GBs from Hitachi or WD ? They are similar in performance.

Well I wanted 160GB to keep it single platter (less heat/noise).

But I just checked out the review you linked me to (in the Lenovo forum) at Tom's Hardware, and it seems the WD Scorpio Black isn't too far behind the Seagate - and it's available all over the place, including a local store over here :)

    Thanks again Andy!

It would have been nice if I could have gotten the Seagate, but I guess this will do!

What about the 160GB Hitachi 7K320?

It's a bit faster than WD and usually cheaper.

the 320GB 7200.3 is around $93 CAN now, that's an amazing buy for a fast drive.
