I have the following miniplug/TOSlink cable purchased from Amazon:
Amazon.com: Cables To Go 27017 Velocity Toslink-to-Optical Mini Plug Digital Cable (3 Meters): Electronics: Reviews, Prices & more

I enabled SPDIF output from the Audigy 2 card as the default sound device in Windows 7. I have the miniplug end plugged into the white output of my Audigy 2. There is a sound bar next to the SPDIF output showing that there is output if I play a DVD or music. But, when I look at the TOSlink end of my cable, I see no red light AKA no signal is being output.

In the audio console, I have tried both the SPDIF passthrough and the onboard encoder options without success from either. What am I still doing wrong? Thanks guys
