lol, One and a half hour stress test TL 58 reached a (I believe a record) temperature of 207C. 0.925V
NB will stay at 90 because Acer has a thermal Pad there.

That's definitely an error, given that the other core, right next to it, "only" maxed at 85. 207 is way above the shutoff range for any computer part. You would have never been able to get that picture as your laptop would no longer turn on.
-
your system didnt catch fire?
wow 207C, thats like 350F or somewhere around their
Try core temp and see if it reports diferent values, hwmonitor is sometimes wrong
If your laptop burns you when you touch it, than 207C is the right temp reading, but if its cool or slightly warm, I would say HWmonitor is reading the temps wrong
EDIT
Sorry I didnt see the C was translated into F, so 404F, is pretty hot, definitely out of the saftey zone, but as lithus saw, the other core is at 85C, so the other core is probably around that temp as well

lol, yeah I know probably, as a matter of fact, definitely a mistake. However, the computer did should down after I posted the message, might be NB, and for the next five minutes, it turned on and during the boot process turned off again. I gave it a 20 minute rest and now its back up.
Anyway probably on Monday its going back to Acer for repair, the Shut down is geting annoying. -
At 207 deg C, it would have melted a hole through your laptop... I had a screenshot somewhere of my hard drive reporting a temperature in the 7 digit range (basically hotter than the sun lol)

Yeah, the 207 is a quirk for sure, but that withstanding, you do still have a heat problem. That it has to cool down to restart is a sign of that (had lots of fun with that back in the Pentium 4 days personally, though I blame HP's lack of thermodynamics more than Intel). But what really indicates it is the ACPI, which I do believe is chipset, temperature of 95C. Supposing the Turion is actually 85 on both cores - not a safe assumption - it should be okay, but 95 for the chipset is certainly bad.
-
Did you know, modern processors give off more heat per cubic centimetre than a nuclear reactor? So 207C might not be so unrealistic.
Personally, I'd say time for a Core 2
Turion At 207C?
