This is a little different then the other thread with the Pentium M running at 1.7. My other lappy is running at 100% load when I alt control del it goes back down to 1 or 2% on the performance tab. It seems it just goes up for about 5 minutes or so at 100% then coming back down. I don't see any abnormal processes running, and with NHC the graph looks like it's up and down every five minutes or so. Any help? Could this be a worn thermal compound between the heatsink and cpu? / bad gpu? I have the abs mayhem g3 eclipse with the mobility radeon x700.

Can you maybe tell us what process is taking up all your cpu cycles? It's very hard to determine something when we don't know what process is using 100% of ur cpu.
