Can't you just disable the wireless adapter? (I know in XP is very easy — right-click on the Wireless Connection icon and select Disable, but I dunno how's that done step-by-step in Vista.)

Is there keystroke combination that toggles from wireless/bluetooth both on to wireless on/bluetooth off, wireless off/bluetooth on, wireless off/bluetooth off? On my laptop, I use Fn+F2 to toggle through these modes.
