Hey all, long time no see!
My Asus G1S-A1 recently suffered from the dreaded GPU failure. I tore the whole laptop apart, removing the good parts, and figured "Hey, this could be a nice, slim 1680 x 1050 screen!".
So I came here seeking wisdom as to whether it is possible to turn my old screen into a DVI input monitor. I don't have wiring/pin diagrams, so I'm not sure what is what, but there is a connector that plugged into the motherboard, so I'm guessing I would have to do a bit of soldering to get a DVI input on that...
Any help/suggestions are greatly appreciated.
Happy New Year,
A7X

not sure about the topic,
but you can try to bake your motherboard and see if you can revive it back.
The success rate is pretty good

Crayonyes, I might try that. Any specifics you can give me on it?
EDIT: Just read some threads on it, I will try this later in the week and report back.
