Im starting a thread on overclocking Core 2 Processors.
anybody with signifigant knowledge in the area is incouraged to post what they can add.
alright. so, im specifcy talking about Intel processors here, and even more specificly T2XXX models
in order to modify the clock speed of the T2500 (any processor for that matter) you must alter either the multiplier, or the FSB (BCLK0 frequency). the clock speed is generalized as FSB x MULTIPLIER... now, i mention this because:
I am not going to touch the multiplier (yet)
If you didnt know that, this might be a little too technical for you.
ok, the BCLK0 frequency is determined by wither BSEL0, BSEL1, BSEL2 are encoded as L or H
such that for a FSB of 166MHZ the settings are:
BSEL0|BSEL1|BSEL2
L H H
for FSB of 133MHz the settings are:
BSEL0|BSEL1|BSEL2
L L H
LLL, and LHL are reserved
Information you need:

so, if the processor is using a BCLK0 of 166Mhz, (FSB ~667Mhz)
the multiplier for a 2GHz processor must be 12?
because these chipsets are compatible with the T7XXXX generation, im sure there must be a way (a BSEL0 & 1 & 2 configuration) that sets the BCLK0 to 200Mhz, allowing a FSB of 800MHz, and clock of 2.4Ghz. this may (most likly will) cause a loss of effiecency btw RAM and Processor as they will no longer operate at same frequency (RAM is 667 MHz..)
notably the Core 2 Duo processors require slightly more Voltage (MAX 41) vs the Core Duo Voltage (MAX 34) this is the only decernable difference i can find (beside the 4MB L2C of the Core 2 DUo processors vs the 2MB cache of the Core duo)
anyways, ill add more later, time to eat.

I was searching all day for information about OC'ing the T7600 but all I could find was that of the T2500. If you could help me increase the multiplier manually that would be great, as I am using the T7600G which is the OC'able version of the T7600 but as Clevo bios doesn't have OC options in the bios the extra multipliers which have been unlocked are useless to me right now.
