I have Vista Home Premium on my primary HD but I really need XP Pro back to run most of my software for work. Can I install it on my second drive and boot to it and still keep Vista inactive on the original drive? Eventually I will be able to go back to Vista with my software, but I need full productivity back now. Is this possible? Thanks!

Yes, make sure it is on another partition or hard drive.
Had MS Xp and Server 2003 running on one HDD a while back.

Why bother? Vista is garbage, kick that trash to the curb and just stick with XP. Why keep an entire operating system around if it doesn't meet your needs??
