-For the T400 I can either choose
    "2 GB PC3-8500 DDR3 SDRAM 1067MHz SODIMM Memory (2 DIMM)" or
    "2 GB PC3-8500 DDR3 SDRAM 1067MHz SODIMM Memory (1 DIMM)"
Which is better, what's the difference?

-For the Sony SR it says "Power Requirements: 100W + 10%"
    What does this mean?

    Thank you

Stick to the single 2GB module if the price difference between the two isn't much.

Can you post the link, where you came across that Sony notebook..??

Since there are only 2 slots for any notebook. 1 stick of 2GB DDR3 is the way to go, this allows you to upgrade without wasting money by allowing you to only buy 1x 2GB later on, with the 2x1GB, you will need to replace both modules with 2 x 2GB.

However that said, there is a slight performance decrease since you won't be using the dual channel mode, this is barely noticeable though, and likely you'll upgrade sooner than you would think.

If you go to the SR page on sonystyle.com, and click on the specifications tab, it says that under the heading of "power."

Not sure, but since it is shown under Battery, it must be referring to the power required to charge the notebook battery....

The reason it's better to get just one 2GB is because you will have another slot free, so later on you can buy another 2GB and put it in..
