Hi, I've just bought a new laptop which has 2 hard drive slots and I wanted to know a couple of things.

Is it possible to have two different types of hard drive in one laptop? (for example one 7200rpm and one SSD). And if so, will they affect each other in any way? (like both run at the same speed)

Will loading games/applications on to a hard drive from a cd improve loading times over running them through an obtical drive?

    Thanks

Yes you can have an SSD and HDD in the same computer, no it will not affect speeds due to the 2 hard drives. However SSD in the optical drive can be affected by the bus it is on (IDE vs SATA)

It will, but depends on the game. Not all games will do this, really depends on the game.
