Hi guys,
I tried searching for this but can't find a solution:
I have swapped my hdd for a crucial m4 60GB ssd. As the laptop is only for work/light use, the small SSD doesn't bother me. I did a clean install in January after getting the SSD but the laptop was crashing when resuming from standby. No bsod, just the screen saying 'windows did not shut doing properly...safe mode...resume normally'.
I disabled standby until I decided to do a clean install yesterday.
The following is roughly what I did:
Clean install.
Activate key using ABR.
uninstall windows features.
Install office.
Updated windows.
Disable system restore, hibernate, indexing.
I then disabled some windows services using the Black Viper guide.
Finally I did an update on the Intel site using their update utility.
Lo and behold the crashes happened again when I tested it. Am I doing anything wrong? Is there a safe guide for SSDs?
I was following a guide on tomshardware but I skipped the 'pagefile' step.

Did you already install the latest firmware for your SSD from the Crucial website?
