    Okay, so I've tried every option available on my TV and have an external plugged into with movies. There's no option anywhere.

    How can I access data so I can watch movies with my family throughout christmas? Do I need to plug my laptop in and enable the movie? Argh.

    What tv is it? Is it detecting the drive at all?

    Your TV might only be able to read certain filesystems.

    Bought it a year ago for 1k and now its 650 lol.

    Oh, and another thing, Flipfire: I just tried to use HDMI from my laptop to TV and it's not working (worked on my previous laptop, though).
