ok, i am kinda confused, i put the usb 2.0 pci cardbus into the cardbus slot in my laptop. everything is set up automactically, i checked in device manager and everything is work fine. so, i rebooted my laptop, just making sure new device is working properly. then everything went well, but when i put a USB 2.0 mouse or any other usb devices, it makes my laptop Hang...i am not sure why is dis happening..

i am currently running XP HOME, SP2...
    is a HP pavilion zt3000...

oh, another i have to tell is that the reason i brought this pci cardbus is due to all of my USB slots are broke!..

    any help?

It sounds like you do not have the proper usb carbus drivers installed.
One other thing I must ask, is:
how did you short all of your USB ports?
If you destroyed the USB hub on your laptop motherboard, their is a good chance the cardbus will not work properly since the cardbus gets power from the usb hub.

Without one, the other will not work too well.
Things were different with pcmcia, cause that got power from the paraller/serial bus.
