I have now tried two USB 3.0 express cards which were both only about 73mm long (although one was listed as being 75mm), and cannot connect devices to them. The express card slot is 75mm deep and a on a short express card the ports are 1 or 2 mm deeper than the side of the chassis.
On the 2530p (and maybe other Elitebook models) the palm rest sticks out over the side of the chassis and most USB devices bump in to it when I try pushing them far enough to connect to the port. See attached images.
Can anyone recommend a decent (not too expensive) dual port express card that's compatible with the 2530p.
    Thanks
