Hey guys, I just recently purchased a datacard for internet down here in Costa Rica. The model is the Huawei E173 and the velocity I purchased is unlimited data transfer and downloads with 2 mbps.

The RSSI I've been getting is between -85 and -91 dB. And according to 5 tests with speedtest.net my lowests speeds for downloads were around 250 kbps and the highest were around 1.5 mbps with a latency of 41-115.

I wanted to know how those numbers sounded to you guys. I'm really just looking to do a little gaming and skype with my family in the USA.

Now, the thing that concerns me is this usb datacard gets HOT after using it for about 1 hour. I wanted to know if that was "normal" for these devices. Do any of you have experience with these things? And if so is it normal for them to get really hot while using them?
