This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved.     USB Power drain workaround?

    Microsoft had an article with temporary work around, but they have removed it since. anyone knows where i can find those intstructions?

    I would advise saving a backup of your registry before you apply the fix. When/if Microsoft decides to release an official fix, the registry entry may interfere with it.

    It is only one key, quite straightforward. You can delete it in 10 seconds I think. But if you want to be extra sure you can try backup.

    I uninstalled it, I didn't see any change. :( But the link I gave has the thorough article about some systems getting nice battery time boost. No harm in trying though because it is only one key in the registry, if it works -great, if not well it is easy to get rid of it. :D
