Microsoft had an article with temporary work around, but they have removed it since. anyone knows where i can find those intstructions?

I would advise saving a backup of your registry before you apply the fix. When/if Microsoft decides to release an official fix, the registry entry may interfere with it.

It is only one key, quite straightforward. You can delete it in 10 seconds I think. But if you want to be extra sure you can try backup.

I uninstalled it, I didn't see any change.
But the link I gave has the thorough article about some systems getting nice battery time boost. No harm in trying though because it is only one key in the registry, if it works -great, if not well it is easy to get rid of it.
