I have a USB drive which I keep trying to save a few MS Office files to but when I remove the drive and try to open the files after reinserting the drive into any other computer they are either gone or corrupted and open up with a bunch of nonsense text. Any help regarding this would be greatly appreciated. The USB drive isn't that old, less than a year.

Probably gone corrupt. Are you properly removing hardware then pulling out the USB stick?

I use EASEUS Data Recovery Wizard, might be able to pull data off the flash drive.

    Hi,

please try H2TestW to see if your USB drive works properly.

thanks for the quick replies. I decided to copy everything else I had on the drive to my PC in order to re-format it and hope that gets it working. I'll use the H2TestW after the format is done. thanks

Indeed. The only fix is to return to vendor and get a replacement under warranty (assuming the device is still covered by warranty).
