My Toshiba Tecra A5 is very good and I'm really satisfied except for one thing that I didn't think of when I bought the thing. The speakers can only be connected to my laptop from the front!!

It's really annoying to have that cable around my laptop like a giant snake.

Is there any good alternative? I have looked at USB speakers but have no idea what to buy and what is worth spending my money on...Any advice is really nice :)

    Kind regards

    Bokazoit ;)

I really like the Altec Lansing XT1 speakers

    http://www.notebookreview.com/default.asp?newsID=2245

They'll actually be releasing a new set in the next couple of weeks that I'll be reviewing, but the XT1 set is just great as they don't need external power, they run right off of your notebook.

Okey tx, isn't there a solution that uses USB but with the quality of a normal set of speakers. I know the USB can't pull that off, but with external power it should be possible or am I wrong?
