    Hey,
I'm using a Netgear USB stick to connect to wireless internet on my laptop. The problem is, for some reason the USB is too loose. If I move around the laptop at all, the usb moves/slips out, and each time it moves the internet gets disconnected, and I have to pull it out and push it back in for the internet to work.

This is getting really annoying.. is there any way to fix this? Is there any way to glue the USB to the laptop, or to use tape, so it gets fixed there and doesn't come out if the laptop moves? Help please!

Does it work in any other USB slots (if you have) and not fall out. Trying to determine if slot or plug is problem. One of my USB lost the plastic covering the "male" portion of slot.

I have a sprint USB AirCard, it came with a short 8" extension cord using one of those might help and be easier to keep in.

My only suggestion on gluing is "don't" In the past when I broke the clip that holds the RAM in I used the cardboard from a book of matches. Cut a small piece and if you need thicker fold place it so it wedges and holds tighter, Urban repair, no guarantees but should work short of a proper fix and will work whether slot or plug problem.

Has it always done this or did it just start recently, digitman?

It means that the usb pin to the pcb board is loose You need to open it up the whole thing(Laptop) and resolder it. Thats the only solution or option that you may have.

You may be correct, and I am thinking you did get a bulls eye. But I have had to re-solder a USB in the past but had no effect on it falling out as the connect has nothing to do with where it is soldered to the board. If he said it was loose and did not work then yea. So now I am starting to doubt my agreeing w/you.
