Are these compatible with notebooks? If so, how much do you think these would improve your notebooks performance?
Ultra XL Dual Channel 2048MB PC6400 DDR2 800Mhz Memory (2 x 1024MB)

Depends upon what processor you're going to be using. In general, most laptop bus speeds aren't as fast as 800Mhz, but I could be wrong. I just know the Intel specs, not the AMD specs.
-
AMD has slower bus speeds that intel. I'm pretty sure that RAM won't fit in most current laptops because it is 240 pin where normal laptops are 200 pin. Also, the heat spreader might make it hard to fit into laptop DIMM slots.
Depending on your CPU, the FSB is probably maxed at 667. I don't know if you can overclock it, but getting RAM that is faster than your FSB is pointless.
Any super-techies wanna confirm that? -

That's desktop memory dude. Not gonna work. -
Yeah, those are desktop memory and wont work in any laptop. Most laptop modules are 200pin and are referred to as SODIMM. There arent any mobile processors which are able to use DDR2 800MHz memory.
Incorrect. AMD's do not have the Front Side Bus as in all Intel systems. They use Hypertransort links for communication betweent the processor and chipsets. These run at 800MHz/1000MHz and have dual data rate transfer capability and hence has effective speeds of 1600/2000MT/s. This allows higher bandwidth than traditional FSB based systems.
In AMD systems the memory contoller is located on the cpu itself and so runs at the same speed as the cpu clock speed. So theoretically they can use memory upto the same as the processor speed. But in reality they just let it support current memory available in the market.
