    Obviously, your cd is not bootable. ;)

    Try burning another bootable CD at the slowest speed setting.

    Sometimes you need to hit a key, the "any" key, to boot from CD, otherwise it defaults to the HDD. You cannot walk or look away during the boot.

    Is the CD bootable?

    From what I recall, it went something along the lines of:

    Trying to boot a program called SecureErase from a CD-ROM, cannot do it from the BIOS menu. Boot option lists HDD, HDD, CDROM, [Some LAN boot variation here]. halp!
