Hello, I am an owner of a new, but low-end Acer Aspire 5920 notebook. This is really just a question about what CPU-Z is telling me about my RAM. I've matched the RAM model number on the manufacturer's website and it says it's 667MHz memory, as it should be... But CPU-Z shows me this:

It says the same for the other slot too. Maybe I'm just misunderstanding, but does that mean my RAM is running at like, half what it should be?

without getting into details ddr stands for "double data rate". i believe data is pumped on both the rising and falling edges of clock, meaning you have to multiply 333 by 2 to get the effective speed.
-
Yes, that looks just fine. 333 MHz x 2 gives you the "Effective Clock" which would be ~667 MHz for DDR2-5300.
-
Ya, what Katie said, don;t need to worry about it
-
You should be looking at the memory tab to see what speed your memory is running at if you're concerned.

Alright, great, thanks guys!
Underclocked RAM??
