I undervolted my ML30 and it has been stable for days under AC power. When I switched over to battery, it did a reboot while I was reading a PDF file. It also rebooted while watching a video, also using battery. Did not notice cpu load on both ocassions. Do you think I should bump up min and max voltage?
Also, if power properties is set to "always on" won't it negate battery savings? I mean we lower the voltage to save on battery but we intentionally disable battery saving features such as turning off the screen and hdd.
Thanks.

It doesn't happen because of the power management settings. It is because of the much more complex thing. Read my article here. Under dealing with problems.

Ikovac, nice article.
The thing is I did not have any devices connected to the notebook when it happened (except for cat 5 cable for intenet). The video file was being read of the internal hdd. Anyway I bumped up the voltage one notch. Hope this solves it. -
Hi,
I guess battery and power cord aren't the same power source if you know what I mean. Battery obviously had some problems in powering your notebook at this low voltage.
I'm hope you have solved it! I might add your experience to my article if that is Ok with you?

I haven't tested if bumping up the voltage fixed it. Just using the power cord for now. Will update when I get the chance.
Feel free to add it to you article. -
OK when you confirm, I will update the article.
Thanks lku, -
I think increasing the voltage fixed the problem. I've been using the battery for over 2 hours and so far so good.

Thanks lku. I'm glad you have fixed it now.
