My notebook definitely needs udnervolting but the undervolting guides just seems too complicated. can anyone help me with this?

you could get cpugenie and run the auto optimization wizard this will check for the lowest possible voltages for your cpu automatically.
This program is very "noob" friendly.
It will take about 3hrs for the tests to finish, when you d/l it you can use it for 30 days for free but it's worth to buy imo 15 bucks. -
The guide is well written IMO. Which part(s) exactly would you like help or clarification on?
-
Just follow the guide step by step. It's not a difficult proposition.
-
does that undervolt it for me?
maybe not for you but it is for me -
Yes akatsuki that will undervolt it for you, you can try it out here:
http://www.clockmod.com/index.php?/products/view/cpugenie_1.0/
you can see for yourself how it works out for you

If you told us which step you didn't understand then maybe we could help you better...

Doesnt support my processor.
I cant even get as far as the second bit because RMClock doesn't have an advanced tab nor does it detect my CPU -
Try the search fn for AMD undervolting, think RMClock is for Intel only. First result:

There's a utility for AMD CPU called k10stat, not sure if it's what you want but have a look at http://dsus4.blog126.fc2.com/blog-entry-3.html for more info.

Trying that now. Altho the voltages keep resetting when i try to save it. Also RMClock should work for amd
-
that kept crashing my computer. :-S
-
When you try to run the program or when you try to adjust something?
AFAIK it is in beta (version 0.91) so maybe some problems, sorry it didn't work out for you. -
anything else i can do? 70C idle really isnt good for performance :-S
-
Weird. I don't have an AMD mobile CPU, so I can't help
I don't know why neither of these programs are working for you. Keep Googling!
