So I followed Flip's Undervolting guide, and like some others on the forum there is a problem with the minimum being .9500 volts no option to go down.

now teperature did go down after 10 min of stess test before and after
80c (core1) 79c (core2) to 70c 69c so a 10 degree decrease for both cores.
not complaning, but I was wondering if using nhc or some other program can solve this..
Another problem is my harddrive and acpi that overheats My graphics card heats no matter what. defected Nvidia 8400gs : / no recall yet.

the screen shot was a lower temp, but it usually is in high 60's, and when I play a game like Prototype, fallout 3, cod4 etc. it soars. My computer crashes from overheating, and I need to prop it up on a book to prevent this from happening.
I am planning to get a cooler, i posted my laptop specs in the laptop cooling pad guide sticky. and I plan to dust out with compressed air, but I can't access my fan.

SO 1 is any other program that can go below .9500volt? Am I doing it right?
2nd anything to cool harddrive and acpi or graphics card
3rd how to dust when i can't access fan, I read NBR guides but none for mine wher I can't access Fan.
THANKS

I believe that for Core 2 Duo's, the lowest VID is locked at 0.95V. You cannot go below that.
-
what about a different program. -
@zeedarkjster
You might be able to with Crystal CPUID but no guarantees. Look at my guide in the sig and there is a part within it about undervolting with that program. -
I used CPU Genie once, you can select a lower voltage but in reality still the same voltage (0.950V) is used so I'd say is the lowest you can go.
-
have you chosen Mobile in cpu settings?

moral hazard Notebook Nobel Laureate

My T5550 can go down to 0.7125V.
-
it just might be the limit of your cpu, my t8300's lowest is .95v.
-
my p8600 goes down to .900v. Not at max multi tho

Quick question, So for mine. just run each by itself? so like for the "max" is at 12x as of now default is in the picture. So just go down one step run stress test, (multiplyer management or F3) and 15sec if its fine keep going down until it crashes. Then I'd go up 2 steps to be safe and stable
And repeat for mid and min? Do i need to change the multiplier to 6x? or anything?
